HAS ANYONE EXPERIENCED A SIDE-STAND SWITCH FAILURE ON THEIR 1290 SDR?

My 2015 1290 SDR is currently at a local performance shop getting the Rapid Bike EVO System installed to compliment the Full AKRA Ti Exhaust system and Rottweiler Airbox and (2x) Velocity Stack goodies that are now on-board the beast. The owner of the shop went to take the bike on its first tuning run and got 15 feet from the shop in first gear and the bike stalled. Pulled in the clutch, put it in neutral and the bike started (side stand still up). Pulled in the clutch and slipped it into first gear and it died. Shop owner pushes the bike back into the shop and called me to ask if I knew of side-stand switch issue with the 1290 SDR. While on the phone with me with the bike on a work stand, side stand up he started the bike and put it in first and out she went. I have never been bit by this issue on any of my bikes over the last 7 years so I am way behind the curve at being able to give the shop owners some tips to help diagnose this one.

Sounds like a side-stand switch issue to me but wanted to do some checking with the KTM community to see if anyone has had similar issues and worked thru it.

Thanks
