it took from 1/11 til tonite, to go from 266 miles to 711?!?! I gotta get out more!Tomorrow, I'll ride to Old Glory HD/Buell (Laurel,Maryland)for their open house!They're gonna have hard rock bands, BBQ, Hooter's wings(and girls!),plus some other stuff I can't recall from the email flyer I've recieved a couple of times.Why, you may ask would I plug a HD/Buell dealer's open house? Well, I found them by "mistake" in Fall '07, and stopped in to ask about the ETA on the yet to be released 1125R, and wound up spending nearly 40 mins talking to 2 salesman, and the owner even stopped in on conversation for 10 mins to introduce himself, etc. These guys are "real" enthusiasts! I find this quite refreshing, in a time were customer service, and store dedication are at a premium.They tried to sell me one of their "alloted" 1125Rs.But I couldn't then,nor can I now justify that purchase.I'm sure going there on my 690SM will generate some interest.It seems to do that.No,not from the HD customers, but maybe if there are some Buell folks there...It'll make a good 100+ mile trip in great(supposedly)weather conditions.Wonder how many of those 690SMs KTM imported in '07...did they sell well?Anybody here know?I gotta get out from under my rock!
