welcome
- Is this the correct forum for this model? I didn't see it listed.
Yes it is, you are looking at an SMC which is a SuperMotardCompetion.
- What is the difference between the SMC and The SXC? Only wheels I hope.
I'd like to buy this SuperMotard and just have some SXC wheel as spares to install when I want to go off road.
Main difference is the SXC has stiffer suspension and a bit more of it (1").
Also the SMC has a 2 quart oil capacity (some in the frame), a spin on frame filter, and a cush rear hub (to take the shock load out of the trasmission).
The SXC has a 1.2 quart oil capacity, none in the frame, no cush hub.
-Is that feasiable?
Yes if they are both 2004 and newer, other wise they
will have different axles diameters, in which case you need different
spacers (not a big deal).
- Any problems or design flaws on the SMC?
Only on 2002 and older LC4 power bikes. The transmission main shaft bearing was a ball type bearing, and it failed quite often, the 2003 and newer bikes use a roller type bearing which is much better.
