Default Is Sm Dead?

I'm confused - as a new 690 SM owner I am surprised at how few postings of anything there is? Where is everyone? Maybe out riding - hopefully so

I do have a question about front sprocket sizes - I have changed out the front sprocket on my 990 Superduke dropping it one tooth to 16.

Has anyone made any similar changes on their 690 SM's? or SMR's? It made a world of difference in the way the Superduke runs and wondered if it would make a similar improvement on the SM

Thanks

Steve

Steve I have not seen much activity on this thread.

This site is pretty much the best I've seen for SM.

Default it seems to have hit a lull

folks are "lazy" nowadays, and to have a SM bike, one has to (A)buy it already set up, which can be pricey. or (B) build it yourself, which can also be pricey, but more importantly:time consuming. SMjunkies is a great site, especially for tech questions ... If you want it "street legal" , you're somewhat at the mercy of your states title regulations. Unless it's already dual sport compliant...then it's just wheels and brakes. As for being "dead", everything is ,at this point. Thanx to Bush's obamanomics... VOTE in Nov. for a new path, and stop to the one we're on now ...With a stronger economy, more motorized toys will soon follow...plus we need to drill for more Cam2 and VP!

As long as our congress has a seniority

I think your response was priceless - don't get me wrong - I am not trying to agitate an argument - It gets my blood going when I hear "let's take back the guvment" - if they get it back what are they going to do with it?

Each of us have our own agenda but this is not the place for it - I loved your response - thanks

I should just keep my mouth/typing fingers silent ! He's doing the best he can ? ok,that is sad ... you are correct, on one thing: the system is broken either side is like looking in a mirror,at the other... they're both flawed, and unable to get anything done. I won't talk politics on this forum again , no reference at all. God help us all !
