2010 690smc

Does any one own this bike and what do you think? I am in Iraq until next summer and pre-ordered a 2011 thru a friends dealership. Is the bike worth it or should I look at something else?

I have a few friends with the older 690s, and
besides a few bugs with the FI mapping, they
love them.

Thanks for the heads up. I am new to the supermotard style and have looked at Ducati, Aprilla, and Husqvarna but all rodes point to KTM. Thanks again EAS

My big problems with all those other bikes you mention other than
KTM, is lack of aftermarket parts, and not enough dealers.

My research showed Husq has poor North American dealer support and lack of dealers. The salesman at the Aprilla dealer said it is not a good streat bike 2nd too vibration, and having to rebuild motor frequently. Ducati just doesn't seem to be a true motard. KTM always seems to get great reviews and is a beautiful bike at that!
