Tail light issues - 2007 690SM

Hi all,

Had my bike for about 3 years now, and no dramas. Runs like a dream. A minor issue has arisen however.

- Break light not working when i use hand brake.
- Then the taillight isn't on at all when my headlight is on
- But the break light still works when i use the back brake.

What kind of issue could this be, is there separate wires that connect the taillight/front brake light from the back brake?

I'm not too tech on all of that kinda stuff, but i installed a smaller rear set up with indicators/number plate piece without too much hassle, and the break light set up seemed fine. There was a connection in there that went nowhere, but i think it's an old one.

Any ideas or help?

I checked the switch for the handbrake, and when it's not resting against the front lever set up, the tail light comes back on! But once the button is pressed, it's off. And when this is done, it stops the brake light from working with the rear brake! I recently had bike serviced, could the guys have accidentally changed something somewhere?
