Default newbie intro and important question

Hello everyone, my names vinny and im 16.I have a 2002 ktm300, i bought it about a year and a half ago for $1200.My bike has 2006 250sx front forks on it , ktm 400 rear subframe and seat, full skids, gnarly pipe and turboncore silencer, and some other small stuff. My problem is today i was cleaning her off and i notice there is a clean crack straight through the frame where the footpeg mount is welded to the frame.I was wanting your guys input on wether i should replace the whole frame,or just weld my frame and reinforce it where it cracked, and guessett it while i'm there. Also i cracked all of my exhaust pipe mounts, i repaired the one, and recently cracked the other one, and i'm also wondering if i should weld it up or get another and save this one as extra.I'm not going to lie and say i don't ride hard, because i'm 16 and i ride hard i hit jump hard bottom out hard and just all out ride hard, but by no means do i neglect my maintenece. So any input from you guys would be much appreciated!

thanks in advance,
vincent.

Hi, and welcome Vinny.

If it were my frame, I'd take it to a welding shop or take
a good photo of it, and have them give you advice.

I had a peg break on the Baja 250, and lucky for me
it was on the 15 mile mark. If I had been past that, on
the pole line road, with all the whoops and it broke,
I would have had a nasty crash.

Don't take any chances.

My 2 cents.

Thank you bajadog,My dad ownes a body shop and a good welder, hes been welding and stuff like this for 20 years,so i'l see what he wants to do and i'l do that. I was just afraid that , it would be too weak and break soon understress. And yeah you'r story is the exact reason that i'm happy i caught it now befor anything really went wrong. Also what can be causeing all these fraktures or brakes i broke both head pipe mounts, the frame , and the nut that holds tension down on the rear suspension spring. My bike vibrates like no other could that be fatigueing the metal?Dose alot of vibration indacate a un balanced crank, or something wrong with my engine ?Thanks again!
