Question ktm 300 exc 2010 problem

G'Day this is only a minor problem compared to what some guys are going threw but i just wanted to see if anyone else is experiencing it or got a fix. bike is ktm 300 exc 2010 model and had it since new. got 12 hours on it now. problem is the kickstarter is rubbing on the underside of the tank when it is in its riding position. i looked at photos of when i first got the bike and its not touching its 2cm away from the tank. i have taken the tank off and checked to make sure its seating right on the front lugs and nothing obstructing it anywhere. have checked like 20x and can't find a cause? suggestions anyone?

cheers

I've queried some newer KTM gurus. I will post their
response as I get them.

Here are the replies I have received so far, take your pick.

"Can you adjust your kicker a bit forward maybe?
I actually used a grinder to take a bit of material off the kickers. Probably an 1/8th"
right on the 'heel of the hockey stick'. They still touched but before the grind job I couldn't really even get the kicker back into it's indent."

"Try rotating the kickstarter on the splines. That should help alot, it may even be the fix."

"On my 2010 300 XC I found the kickstart was rubbing the tank and that was not the case originally, seesm the tank settled a bit so I had to file a few mm's off top of Kickstarter to get cleanrance."
