Wink Which tall seat is best?

Hey guys, new to the forum. Just bought a 2009 200 XC about a week ago. Did my first hare scrambles race on it on the weekend.

So far love the bike, but that seat has got to go! I know, I know I should just stnad more. But until I get better at it, I need something else.

I'm 6'3" with very long legs, and bad knees. The stock seat is hard, and too low. I have seen some tall seats, but the ones I have seen are only +20mm (3/4") and +35mm (1 3/8") neither of these seem like much. I have seen one online which was +70mm (2.75") this is quite a lot though.

I have also noticed the soft, and firm options. I'm not looking for anything super plush, just not something hard as a rock.

Anybody have any suggestions, or epxerience?

I have another race this weekend, hoping to pick up something before my kness, back, and butt have to endure that seat again.

I got an enduro engineering 2" taller firm seat.
So far I like it. I wish it was a little bit softer though, it's pretty hard. It's ok for racing, but my butt hurt a bit the next day when I was riding my Moutain Bike, and I would def like softer for just rec riding.

FYI I would not want anything taller at my height with long legs. I did a very muddy race with it, and I was struggling to get my feet on the ground well a couple times, I think it would be just fine for drier conditions where you can get a little more lean angle before needing to put your feet down. My legs, and back were very thankful for less bend in the knees though.

Now I need bar risers, and some real hand guards.
