Default mixing question

Hey,
I just got a 2008 250sx and was wondering what everyone is using for oil and what ratio. I know the manual says 60:1 but damn.. The previous owner used 32:1. I would like to go alittle less on the oil. He also used castor 927 oil in the bike. Just looking for suggestions. I always had good luck with yamalube 2-r and amsoil dominator oil.

I run Motul 800 Ester Synthetic 2-Stroke Oil at 40:1 in my new Husaberg.

Iam running 50:1 using shell advance racing X 2T and has been much better in my opion owner before me ran the motorex synthetic oil at 40:1 but seems much more cleaner crisp and responsive now.

There is also this extreme which I ran in my old KDX.

I have run Motul 800 in my bikes since 2003, and love the stuff.

I run it 30:1 in my close to 100hp 250cc road racing GP bike that reves to close to 13,500 rpm, and 50:1 in my 200XC.

I would think about running 60:1, but figure whats a little more oil. I would not bother going richer than 50:1. There just is not the revs, or the load like there is in my GP bike.

Agree. My KDX 450 went through 2 sets of wheel bearings before I did the top end with Amsoil. I probably ran it closer to 80:1 or so.
