Default 08 250sx very thirsty (eats gas)

I have the xc tank on my sx thank god, but for some reason my bike just guzzels gas down.

FMF gnarley head pipe, Stock silencer, twin air filter

Jetting is stock jetting

Bike runs great, idles great, rarely fowels plugs

I run motorex oil at 60:1

Me and my buddy who has an 06 250sx with pro curcuit full exhaust, twin air filter, and a jet kit went out for a 3 hour ride. When we got back he had a half of tank and my tank was well below half and I have a bigger tank. plusssssss i lug my bike around I am not beating the balls off of it. So it doesnt make any sense.

I am concerned because we will be going out west soon and riding desserts and duns and I dont want to be running out of gas in the middle of the dessert.

It sounds like your main jet is just too rich/large. These bikes may run great, and rarely foul plugs but a too large main will cause extra consumption. Sometimes adding a pipe will richen things up as well.
