Default Coolant in the base! Good fix?

Hi every1, i just received my piston kit, gasket kit, needle bearing for my xc-w 250 2006 ! So while i was removing my head cylinder, the small amount of coolant that was in the antifreeze walls of the head cylinder dripped in the crankcase ! Even if i drained the the 3 coolant hoses + the rads that 1-2ounce of antifreeze was still there... I removed the piston+clips+wrist pin and i flipped the bike invert ... everything got out by luck! Any other things i could have done ?

How about taking out the drain plug, and drop a quart of oil through
it just to remove any traces of coolant.

No worries, that is an easy fix really. All of that antifreeze will sit on top of the transoil. Just drain it out, run a quart through it, and turn it over by hand a few times. Drain it again, and it should be out. No big deal - easy fix!

theres a couple red bubbles that mixed with the oil but by now theres only a little bit of residue and i really doubt that the first start will damage/seize the bearings/piston ! What do you use to drain it ?

What do u mean by drain plug ? i tough 2 strokes only had a plug for transmission oil... so theres actually a plug for my base ? where ?(i didnt see that in the manual)

I had this happen to me as well i had a friend of mine whoes a bike mechanic at a local dealer tell me to just leave the head off and if you have help turn the bike over and hit the kickstart a few times let all of it drain out. flip back upright . If alot got in there you can do like i did and puor a little raw pre-mix on the crank and rotate/kick a few times to make sure its coated well then re-assemble . It was my first re-build as well and im learning alot about ktm's especially our unique powervalves.

Good catch on that. If coolant went down the crank, def. get some two stroke pre-mix down there before you start it again!
