Default My ktm 125 sx wont kick start but will roll start

Hello im new here. I just got a ktm 125 sx. It wont kick start but it will roll start. It has spark i dont think its alot but should be enough. Im getting a new spark plug tmrw. But if this doesnt help what is it? I took the carb apart the floats are fine unless they need adjusted. The guy said he dumped it in some creek about a month ago and it started up fine but until about a week ago he had issues. But now they are my issues. But yeah i just want to get it fixed

id check the compression, may be time for some new rings sinking in water could have caused mud to get in there and scratched up the walls, make sure spark plug is all the way tighten down also.

Damn already? And the spark plug is all the way down. But could it be electrical? And my uncle mentioned something about the floats in the carb sticking maybe how do i tell?

if your getting spark electrical should be fine really if it will roll start, http://www.irarrazaval.com/moto/ktm/...5_300_03_E.pdf page 43 very bottom shows how it should be, pretty simple take carb off, take off bowl sit at a 60degree angle and the float should be parallel with the float chamber thats how i have always did it.

As said above first replace that spark plug. If that doesn't fix it, do a compression test. You should have no problem getting 60 hours out of a piston and rings, BUT if you're not so good at maintaining the air filter and a tiny bit of fine particles get through, you will burn through that piston much quicker.
