Default Are only the older JD jet kits worth it? 50 to 100 deg. F ambient

What do you guys think of going with the JD jet kit vs the stuff KTM provided with the moto or buying seperate Suzuki RM needles, etc. as others have said?
Is the JD knowledge library access or calling JD jetting worth the extra money?
Is the needle, jets parts etc. that I get with purchase of a JD jet kit worth it?
I can get a JD kit for $75 including shipping.
Again this is for a stock 2011 300XC. I still have the manual and according to that it should be running properly but it seems to run rich low and mid. It seems to run better as it runs out of gas when idling.
Also all my plugs come out black. At first black and wet. This last time with AV gas black but dry.
I want to at some point try some off road racing along with my trail riding and hill climbing.
I want to be able to ride Hatfield McCoy/ WVa., Taskers Gap, Pennsylvania, and Va.
As far as I can tell elevation of mostly 900-2000 feet or so. I live at 386-466 feet as far as I can tell.
I am new to all this stuff so I am trying to learn.
Thank you.
