Default 2010 300xc stuck throttle

had the throttle stuck wide open in mx race. very scarey hit another rider hard before stopping the bike. raceing on sandy mx track so asume sand entered throttle body. havent pulled apart throttle yet. this is first stuck throttle in 20 years of rideing/raceing. not fun.

That happened to my KDX 450 years back.

I started it up, and it was stuck wide open.

Even the kill button did nothing.

I ended up getting it into 2nd gear, and just digging
a trench with the rear tire until I could bog it with the clutch.

It end up being the stupid throttle cable binding in the sheath.

Its usually up at the throttle tube assembly where this happens, it usually starts from the tube binding. I'd pull that assembly apart, lubricate the cable at that end and then pull on it to see if the throttle plate opens up. If its not smooth, its the other end of the throttle cable where it enters the carb. Its a very common failure point, especially if it bends a lot in that area from misplacement of the cable.
