Pull the fuel tank off and see if the kill switch is plugged in. Also, if you pull the air filter and look into the carb, make sure the throttle plate is closing when you use twist throttle. Sometimes, the slider plate will get stuck open a bit and that will for sure cause it to run high idle.

If everything checks out OK, you can simply adjust the idle screw on the carb.

Checked kill switch connected but it on other bike tested it works checked make sure the choke and throttle tube wasn't sticking I started it let it warm up and it acts like it won't adjust with the idle screw but it's not running rich or lean I'm to the point of buying a new carburetor if I have to

Usually when the idle screw doesn't make a difference, usually you've got an air leak somewhere. If you take the carb out of the bike and quickly do a test to insure the idle screw is opening and closing the throttle plate properly, then the only other logical thing can be an air leak. Check the boot that mounts to the reed's and obviously check the reeds as well. There is too much air getting into the motor somehow, somewhere.

There ya go, it was probably just the leaky boot.

Let us know if that fixed it
