Default new top end for 06 250xc-w and now hear random ping soundm

Phey I just did a new top end on my bike and now I hear a random ping sound, like the piston is nicking something. I put in a Wisco piston kit. Any suggestion how to eliminate this sound? Do I have to take apart the top end? Please help.

Ping or tick? Does noise change when you slowly rev motor? Are you sure you installed piston pin clips and if so where they seated correctly.

When the bike revs u can't hear it but when it goes in idle is when u randomly hear it....if the piston rings didn't seat right would it still be operable?
The sound is more of a knock.

I wouldn't worry about the rings as long as you broke in top end correctly. Did you check the rod for up and down movement?

Make sure piston pin clips are there and installed correctly. Make sure rings are right side up as well.
