Was $ 3500 the difference in the Out The Door price, then ?

The kTM with higher price would also have higher tax.

The price on the FZ 09, was it a " bait price " with a bunch of so-called
"freight and prep " added on ?

I've seen dealers put as much as $ 2000 to 3000 in shameless markup.

My 1st FZ 09 would have been $ 10,500 to 11,000 in Cali due to dealer greed.

I got it for $ 8250, delivered to my door and reg from out of state

one more question....

I missed out on the fz, someone snatched it up before me, So... Next Question. I found a Street Triple RS at a very good price also, a really beautiful bike, but I'm wondering about the ergos between the triumph and the duke. It seems like the duke is a little roomier, but I"m pretty sure I'll need some risers and especially lower footpegs on the triumph, which I'm not sure anyone even makes. So if anyone is familiar with these two bikes, let me know how they compare...Thanks.

I tried the 765 Triple R and also owned a 675 Triple from 2009 to 2015 so I'm pretty familiar with them. Bought a 790 nearly a month ago after, weighing up the Triple as well and don't regret the decision. My 1500 km review is here: http://geoffjames.blogspot.com/2019/...0-km-down.html . If you also go to the previous post, there are some further thoughts which came from the demo ride. Hope it helps.

Thanks Cors👍. I took up drag racing when I was much younger because of an inability to go round corners without falling off 😁

Thanks Geoff, I'm pretty sure the Duke will fit me better too, the Triumph had some really top notch brakes and suspension on it, making this decision a little tougher. Seems like the legroom on the Triumph is a little tighter.

Just about every magazine, blogger and tester has done back to back tests between these exact 2 machines.... Can't be hard to find.

I could find 10 direct comparisons on Youtube in 1sec.

Ive watched most of them. I was really wondering how comfortable they are for people. Most of the reviews are about performance, which i'm sure is great on both bikes. TBH I think the triumph is the better bike, but if I can't stay on it for more than an hour, it won't be worth it.

Comfort wise i have no issues on the 790 myself. I'm 6'0 and 15st. It's comfy as you like....

I've not tried the Triumph though to compare it to.
