Probably the most complaints about surging and stall factor while stock and during decat to full open exhaust and some type of change in airbox dynamics from stock config is from the 2012-2013.
and then it looks like less with progressive models to the 2015 combo..
I mean that users saying kevs o2 mod did not solve all problems.Other users you just cant fix online.

something simple that can be tweaked out if not constrained by euro standards.

The throttle body was replaced by previous owner but my bike will still randomly stall while moving just from engaging the clutch in 2nd gear.. supposedly it used to be worse.


I think it's just the fueling. Just rode in to work... The sound is unacceptable lol. I either need to get a db killer in the muffler tip (which I don't think my exhaust has...) Or put the cat back on.

Id love to keep the straight pipe and just put in a db killer. I think that's be perfect but need to figure out if Yoshi offers one. There isn't any screw/mounting piece for a db killer on the exhaust tip

take the decat as a loss and sell it to someone whose got a fatter muffler combo and doesnt care about noise and get a decat with pre silencer. I would contact leovince directly asking about the link pipe for you.

Or buy a cheap presilencer which you can find very easy and weld it in your link pipe.

Id go pre packed like the leovince.

if you study the 690 out the torque which you need more of comes from the longer systems .
Its been noted that the twin muffler open system can get the best figures but that akra is a sweet thing with the larger pre silencer underneath coming out into an akra can.

Interesting. You'd suggest the silencer in the straight pipe over just putting a db killer on the end of the exhaust?

What would be the difference? My cat delete was like $90 so if the leo with a silencer is less than $150 that seems fine.

I don't need to save tons but I don't want to completely rebuild the exhaust... I've spent enough on the bike

I've definitely heard good things about the akra but not about to out that much money to rebuild my already aftermarket exhaust. I don't need every last bit of power. Just want it running smoothly.

I'd probably be very happy with the PCV tune and a db killer

I am assuming this plugs into the muffler tip and clogs it up. Not sure if that drastically changes the tuning? I think it's not supposed to, but I genuinely don't know. I'm still a newb to exhausts on bikes!

im feeling the idea, well your on the right track using the pcV, if your combo allows for a earlier torque curve and a later torque drop off then the pcV can pick up those middle revs dips etc to get a wider and higher graph.And ofcourse step over this part throttle issues.
