    Hei, har du fortsatt din Duke? Ser dette er det eneste forumet du er litt aktiv på. Ingen norske? Skulle gjerne hatt deg på mcsiden. Du er en av bloggerne jeg leste fra A til Å i min jakt på min første sykkel. Dine betraktninger rundt Duke'en er nok en av grunnene til at jeg gikk for en Duke R 2013. Er selv fra Tonstad i Sirdal. Har du aner fra Haughom utenfor Tonstad? Anywhos, gi en lyd hvis du er i Bergen eller Sirdal. Kanskje vi kan ta en tur. Duke på tur, aldri sur :)

    Hey Haughom,

    I have tried a few combos, the practical differences in speed and pull are not that great. I tried a 15 for a while for mucking about on the street, but found it really hard to find a smooth "street speed" for the engine. The engine always raced or stuttered. So I went the other way and bought a 17 front. It fouled on the swinging arm protector. You can get a 17 with shorter teeth; I have not tried that. I returned to the stock 16 on the front.

    Then ol' mate down Kato shop gave me a 38 to go on the rear (stock is 40). To my amazement, gearing up widened the useable comfortable rev band. I don't think it robs from acceleration that much, I can't detect any higher top speed (190km/h) but it does allow me to do 60km/h where the engine feels comfortable.
