So I just traded my 04 cr 250r for an 07 450sxf. I’m going from 2 stroke to four so obviously there’s a learning curve... two main things I noticed. 1.) the electric start doesn’t seem to work. It turns over but won’t start 2.) she stalls at Low rpm... I’ve ridden it for about an hour and tried many combinations...it even stalled in neutral going down hill while reving the motor... any advice would be much appreciated!

I turned up the idle speed on the carb and it seems good, I should probably do what you said for peace of mind.

Often if the battery lacks the Amps (even if you have the Voltage) there will not be enough to feed starter and ignition. You can test this theory by using jumper leads from your 12V car battery and try to start. (Note that it is best to leave car motor turned off to eliminate any chance of spikes/wrong charging voltage/current). If the bike starts with car battery added you are up for a new bike battery...
