I received my SDGT from the dealer mid Feb'20. The Quickshifter dind't work (it comes standard up and down), I had to roll of throttle to shift up and give it throttle to downshift without pulling the clutch. The QS+ was on in the dash menu.
Called the dealer - they claim it either should work or be activated during first 1000km / 600 mi maintenance.
Called the service - there is a software update coming mid April that will fix it.
Checked the forums - some claim it works right out the dealers gate, some that it was activated during the first maintenance.
This left me to wonder why the dash menu is active and on, when they would only acivate it after the maintenance, but whatever - I accepted the fact I had to wait.
Today (450 km on the clock) I was doing a walk around inspection and I found a missing screw and a sensor loose (photo in post). The upper screw was 1/3 out and the sensor was dangling. Weird thing is that the screw had some thread locker on it, yet it still came out.
It tightened it, screwed in the bottom M5 and test drove. The Quickshifter works like a charm. Seamless up and down with only a gentle nudge on the shift lever.
I confirmed with repair manual that this actually is a shift shaft (angle) sensor (p. 377 of repair manual). This blog post describes the functionality:
[KTM BLOG - ORANGE - SPEED - PETROLHEADS
So, if your QS stopped or never worked worth checking that.
As we say in Poland LwG (left hand up!) and braaaaaap!
