I had simillar issue, but with the cruse control button and plus and minus (for changing cruse control speed, and in track mode - for spin adjustment). Finally I disambled the console my self (FSE in electronics), and found lose small spacer, which bounce inside the case and from time, to time it has shorted the circuit on the electronic board inside

. This small tiny spacer didnt come lose from anytning, its looks that is spare one

inside. The only two same size and thicknes spacers are under the screws which holds the joystick in place (but those two are tightened).
Also found that electronic are covered by rubber but not as good as it should be. I will do it better by myself. Im pretty sure that the water after time will penetrate this and corosion will show after time.
Well its not my first KTM but I can still see that some engineering production is like on dirtbikes, not as good as it supposes to be on sportbikes.
Ah and microswitches are not so good they are sealed but after 2000km I already found a lot of dust/dirt around them, and pretty sure its also can make some damage to them after time. The housing which cover electronic inside is not sealed at all. The dust/dirt get easly.
