Hey guys, just adding my experience:
Got a 2021 northamerican model.
Full Akrapovic system installed, won't start with stock bulb indicators.
Got Akra mapping from dealer installed and indicators set to LED.
After Akra mapping installation bike won't start with stock indicators and starts with indicators disconnected.
Installed CNC-Racing Flow LED indicators (with an internal Resistance of about 14 MOhm). Bike runs flawless. No error messages or engine lights. All functions as with stock exhaust. Indicates work at regular speed.
Got about 1000km on with that setup, multiple starts, ignition on/off.
Do you think alternative Sequential turn signals would work?
Theres some cheaper Stedi sequential turn signals I was gonna give a crack (cant hurt for 80$), but wondering how id be able to check whether the resistance would be high/low enough.
Cheers

So here's my experience on fitting the Magic box.
First up, this is my first KTM ( and my first NEW bike ever) so taking the fairings off will definitely take much less time on the next occasion, suffice to say it took longer than it should have.
2nd, there are two conflicting diagrams on this thread on which side the Magic Box cable goes. One of the drawings shoes the cable highlighted in red lines on the right side ( don't recall who posted it) and then there are the ones that Kmanu posted for his installation diagrams and instructions .... on the left side. ... use these !!!
3rd, I had to lift the tank to get into the rubber packets wrapped around the cables on the right side so I could find the indicator plugs that the dealer had disconnected when fitting the Akra exhaust. My big hands and fingers didn't help this process.
4th Route the cable properly the first time and the process is infinitely quicker ......
5th Once it's all connected and time to start up to ..... DONT FORGET TO CONNECT THE FOB ANTENNAE WIRE ON THE RIGHT FAIRING ........ !!! ...... yup, I did.
About two hours later, after I had checked all the connections, then disassembled it all to see if it was faulty, the reassembled etc etc ...........at the point where I was wondering how the **** I was going to get it out of my bike shed and into the van with the steering lock on to take it to the dealer (2 1/2 hours away) ......... the light switch flicked on in my tiny brain.
So, to sum up.
I am not a novice around bikes. I have been building race bikes for 25 years, engines and all.
If you had to do this twice, the second time would take about an hour all up, give or take.
Allow longer for the first time though lol

Anyway ........ it works.

Silomotor exhaust was this for a gen 2 or gen 3? And if for gen 3, is there a link to purchase?

Hi guys, how are you?
First: I need to contact kmanou to get a Magic Box, but the system doesn't let me send a PM to him.

Secondly: I'm a KTM dealer, don't want to say from where. But I would like to clear some questions here.

It's very important that you guys understand that emissions controls are getting tougher every year and that manufacturers are faced with a lot of difficulties.
Remember the exhaust is sold as a TRACK ONLY part. And that's because it doesn't comply with emissions. So if your dealer makes you sign a waiver, please do so. They just are trying to protect themselves from bad people. Sadly, a few guys have made their money by finding places where the business wanted to please the customer and then the customer turns around and sues them by any bullshit reason and the dealer goes out of business.....that's why business has changed and the worthy ones have gone out of business. So please remember that.

It is smart and clever, for KTM to make the turn signals obsolete for the Akra, think about it, they could have done several things to make it harder for you. Instead, they choose this to make it "easier" to bypass.

Some countries (I can guess Canada for example) choose not to go into a legal fight over this, and maybe that's why they can't modify or mess with it. Please be patient with the dealer, most of the time they want to help, but the lawyer in the background says they can't do it.

If you guys have any question feel free to shot me a PM.

No far away.
I can help out with knowledge and info. Sorry, I know its not much.
Do you know what the post cat(3rd) O2 sensor does? I know its function normally, but some owners are reporting no fault codes after cat removal without software changes, which is confusing.
Also, can the factory diagnostic tool see live stream measuring blocks for long term and short term fuel trim? (add and multi)

In response to both of these, Yeah the SILMotor exhaust was for the gen 3, able to be purchased through a private message to their facebook page (just look up silmotor). You pay with paypal and they were super helpful fixing my order after they accidently initially sent me the more expensive pie cut version (however i preferred the cleaner looking pipe).

In regards to the O2 sensor. The air fuel i assume is measured at the headers near the block and then again just before the cat. Retaining this O2 sensor means the ECU is able to adjust air fuel based off the two of these. Most ECU's these days are quite smart and self adjusting, would just require going a little easier on the bike for the first 500-800kms of a new exhaust. Im assuming no fault codes are present as its still able to read all the required sensors and im not sure if you get fault codes for running too lean or rich.

Hey Ajford, could i ask how much Australia $s it cost to your door. I really like the look of the Silmotor exhaust, (don't need the muffler) not too bitsy like other makes, its nice and clean looking. PS I'm not on FB.

So the 3rd O2 sensor is definately before the cat?...not after?
In that case it probably is a self learning ecu and the 3rd sensor has nothing to do with cat efficiency. I stand corrected.
Hopefully @GZERO can confirm as he is a KTM dealer.

It cost me around 2150$ to my door. They express post it and it takes like 3 days postage then about 2 weeks for them to make it.
