I was wondering what improvements it made to the handling.
For the average KTM rider, absolutely none whatsoever. If you're chucking it on its ear all the time, hitting those bumpy sweepers hard, and then maxing your brakes as you desperately try not to run off the end of the straight, then I reckon they'd help with rigidity and feel. In other words, for almost all street riders it's mainly decorative.

So it's just eye candy for those not cutting 1/10s of a second on our lap times? Too bad. Thanks though.

I'm a cheap bastard with the occasional taste for the expensive.

So why not bring your standard clamps to a machine shop and have them anodize it orange? You can even ask them to grind off the casting marks.

Did I mention I'm a cheap bastard who occasionally doesn't get the sex appeal of a Powerparts item?

Well Menso I was interested in the clamps because I thought it would improve the handling of my GT. I would like the front end to feel a little more precise but it is as simple as putting more weight over the bars. I never thought of having some parts anodized... Hmmm....
