Hi, Novice mechanic here. Changing foot pegs on my new 790. Successfully mounted the left peg onto the peg/clutch pedal assembly. When I went to reattach the assembly to the bike the lowest most bolt will not screw back in. My flashlight reveals the bolt hole is now slightly out of alignment with the frame. No idea what to do. It looks like it will take a great deal of force to get things properly realigned. Anybody seen this before??

Seriously though, if you cannot reposition it so the hole lines up, temporarily loosen other fasteners in the area until you can line it up, start the bolt, then re-torque everything you loosened.

BTW: More force is almost never the correct solution.

Hi, and thanks for your response. Yes, you're right, I loosened the side stand and was able to realign the holes. Thanks, mate!
