Adding an Adventure R to my line up

My local dealer has a used 2018 1290 Adventure R with 430 miles (yes you read that correctly) and he has a new 2019 790 Adventure R.

Since the 1290 is used he allowed me to take it for a quick spin, lovely bike, HUGE compared to my SuperDuke, and much taller than the BMW 1250GS's that I have rented. but teh 790 is also really tall and large, just not 1290 size.

The 790R comes with the travel pack pre-installed but I would have to buy it for the 1290. the 1290 has 8 months left on its 2 year warranty, and of course the 790 is new.

Prices with all software included are very similar, and the 1290, while used, is mint.

So which one would you take?

thanks H2oKTM! Interestingly enough, since purchasing the 1290SAR my wife and I have done several decent 4 and 10 day adventure rides, logging more than 4500 miles in less than 6 months two up, and it is a truly very special 2-up bike for sure. However the size and weight of the 1290SAR makes it really impossible for single track, or for blasting around an MX track so, during the Covid madness, while I was unable to race my cars, and my competitive nature got the better of me, I added a 2020 500 EXC-F and a 2020 300 XC TPI to the stable. So now I have most of the bases covered. By the way, the 2020 500 EXC-F is ANEMIC in stock trim, hence the immediate purchase of the 300 2-stroke, but I have since added the GET ECU, and it has completely transformed the 500 EXC-F. Taking them both to the track tomorrow to see which yields a faster time. Suspect the 300 with triumph but you never know
