Anyone out there in Texas been successful in getting a Texas title for an off-road only bike when MCO on bike does not note bike is off-road only? Texas requires title, even for off-road bike. Bought a bike out of a state that doesn’t require an off-road MCO but Texas wont accept same and KTM says they won’t reissue MCO with required statement. Only option is to run illegally which I won’t do. With no title, can’t sell bike either unless I part it out. Makes internet sales impossible from some states too.

Update: Finally got KTM to send letter to local tax office that certified bike was for off-road use only. TxDMV accepted letter and issued title. Three months of arguing with KTM Customer a Service, KTM Corp. offices and local/state registration officials, bike is legal to use in Texas!!
