My Duke 690 was running hot after I moved to a crowded city. It would actually shut the engine off if I sat still for too long. I did some research and did these three things and my motor hasnt gone 1 single bar above medium since.
1-the 85F radiator thermo switch, it kicks the fan on before it starts overheating instead of after overheating.
2-I wrapped my header with titanium exhaust wrap from Auto-Zone. I noticed that header was getting extremely hot and it was so close to the radiator it was heating up the water inside.
3- I purchased the Rottweiler fuel dongle. This enriches the mixture by 1 full point and the richer the mixture the more fuel to absorb heat. Thats why air cooled engines almost always run pretty rich.

Engine Ice helps a little too. As long as it’s not spitting coolant, on your boots, it’s fine.
