Hello everyone, so i am new to this ktm tpi bikes and 2 stroke too, i have a 250 exc tpi 2023 with less than a week old and in the bike when its cold (i let the bike warm up like 2 minutes) the first 1/2 minutes of riding the accelaration fails a little, do you think thats normal? The ktm dealer said to me thats normal, is it really?

Nothing to fuss about. Takes a short time to warm up motor and allow warmed engine parts to help evaporate fuel more efficiently.

1) pull cold start knob (left side of the motor)
2) press the magic start button
3) follow step 2 again if bike dies abruptly
4) DON'T touch the throttle
5) Let it run for a few mins while you're throwing your gear on

The TPI's are smart. Almost too smart for their own good at times but once it's at operating temperature the ECU does a good job sorting everything out. Where guys run into problems is getting on a TPI with a cold motor and expect that you can just get on it and ride it like a raped ape then wonder why the top end seizes up.
