"Mandatory Update"

Took my bike in on Saturday to get the heated grips activated. Ended up spending 2 hours plus there because there was a "mandatory update" of the firmware.

Tech claimed not to know what it does. It must have come in very recently, as I was in there for the recall not that long ago.

Anyone know what this update is s'posta fix?

Could you please check what software version you got in that update?
Update was probably a tracking software download so KTM knows where your bike is via Canbus GPS and the speed of it when riding
Tech Pack 😆
Track Pack😆
Now you have Spyware Pack😅
Could you please check what software version you got in that update?
Will do

I had my 14 1190 for 2 years and one day it started doing weird stuff , dash would go into dark mode, TPS not working ,so I took it in and they did a update to the computer......problem solved ! We're riding computers boys and girls, and they need to be updated every once and a while......nothing more and nothing less. To know what the up date was actually for I have no idea.....nor do I care as long as the bike runs as it should. Some tecknoweenie could probably explain it to me as to what exactly they did ,but I probably wouldn't understand it anyway or care for that matter as long as the bike worked as it should.

As I recall, the software version is listed on the Service screen on the dash.

I may be dense, but I cannot find it no matter where I look.

Here is how the Service screen looks on my bike. 0670 is the firmware version.

Guess I had seen it but failed to recognize it. Mine is 0680.

Hmm. My Evo reads 0600, was just in Tuesday and apparently received the latest. I suppose the Evo could be a different number.

I suggest you give KTM customer support a call to confirm. I've learned to double-check info obtained from dealerships.

Mine says 600 also. Wounder what the update is???
You’d think EVO could well be different due to the suspension bits.

Well I called my dealer today and even know I have the 600 software they are saying I have no recall. She’s a 2022 Evo R. So no clue what’s going on

As someone suggested, perhaps there is different software for different models (SDR and SDR Evo).
