New to 690 Enduro, what power mode am I in?

Hello all, recently picked up a 2010 690 enduro r as I killed my previous enduro bike. I've been reading the manual to learn about the bike but I am stumped on the power selector. I read that you line it up with a mark but I can't see the mark on the switch. The white arrow portion doesn't turn only the black portion, so the arrow is always on 0. How can I tell what mode I am in? Want to try out mode 2. TIA!

Is there a little arrow roughly where the 7 is at the moment? I can't see due to the shadow.
From memory the little plastic arrow is roughly where the 7 is in your picture.
In your picture I would say you're in mode 7.

So I fiddled with it last night and I can take the black dial portion off. When I did there is another set of numbers underneath, and the arrow is visible. Based on this pic, I should be in power mode 2 now? The numbersdont match the dial, but the arrow now points to 2 on the dial.

Looks a bit different to what I've seen, but yes, that looks like you're in 2 now. I gather those bottom number don't move when you spin the dial?

Correct, they don't move. I appreciate the help, just seemed odd to have 10 modes, but only 3 are different.
