what the best lube for your chain? Oil or Wax? I hear a lot of arguments about both, what is the consensus here?

I have used both in the past, I find the oil flings off and makes a mess of the wheels, under tail etc. chain wax builds up and is a pain to clean I have been using Bel Ray super clean chain lube. It builds up a bit over time but isn' to bad to clean and doesn't fling off.
