Forty four of the world’s best teenage racers have been reunited at the Circuit Paul Ricard HTTT on November 22nd and 23rd for the Final Selection Event for the 2008 Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup.

Coming from all over the world from nineteen nations, the forty four aged from 13 to 16 years old all have the hope of being seen as future World Champions. The finalists following initial selection events in Germany and Italy were invited to the Paul Ricard HTTT during these two days for the final selection.

The "Red Bull MotoGP Program" is an international competition with the goal to discover new talents in motorcycle racing. The Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup is the centerpiece of the whole program where rookies are pitted against each other in their own racing series run on KTM 125cc. At the end, only 3 riders from this group will be selected and invited to participate to the final step: the Red Bull Rookies Academy, as the young French rider Johann Zarco, winner of the 2007 Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup.

These two test days at the Paul Ricard HTTT allowed selecting riders who will be invited to join the 2007 "rookies" during the first race of the next season in Jerez, Spain.
