I had to open up the holes in the black brackets that came with the lights and buy a couple of metric socket-head screws and nylock nuts at the local hardware.

Wired the ambers direct until I get the either/or switch and went for a ride. You could see the recognition in some drivers' eyes. Beams look vertical on my garage door.
