Pete and Scrubby's day out

Well @scrub runner got his SDR out of mothballs today and we had a blast.

500 kms under blue sky and 23 degrees C - I haven't missed the Canberra winters let me say. Good company, good roads, perfect riding conditions, very little traffic, very few tax collectors.

Gonna do it all again soon.

Ohh mate we have all been in your shoes at some stage. Just keep digging - you will be able to start filling it back in again at some stage. By the time you get to be a retiree I will be a seriously cranky old bustard. >

I have already started whittling my rocking chair to yell "MANIAC" from my front porch.

Am hoping for good weather this weekend. Will be the 1st chance to jump on one of the toys for for many months.

Though due to my geographic location it will be stupid cold up to midday, the fog will clear around 1pm, then it will get cold & crappy again around 3:30.....

I have that winter riding window deeply etched into my brain and I have to say I don't miss it one iota. It does sort out the dedicated riders pretty damn quick I have to say. It is a harsh filtration system.

I know what ya goin to say. Bloody northern troppo, wouldn't know what cold is, but I would like to let all that didn't know, that I did live near Toowoomba for 10 years. Had the odd brass monkey's ride's 6am in the middle of winter and some down through stanthorpe.

I also "commuted" to work everyday on the blade in Toowoomba with minus double digit wind chills. Fog everyday. Even sleet.

In sayin all that, I have climatised and am very happy to stay above double digit temps up here in the north, even if I am goin troppo. You can keep ya southerner weather.

Just bring the rc8 and migrate north in the winter @Sungod Racing.

Sunday April 14th, Anyone up for a ride

April 11-13th I am heading down to Chandler for Masters state swimming. 14th I plan to take a whole day to get home, so if any of the brissy or s.e.q crew are interested on joining in for any part of the return home, veer off at any stage.
Might be a good chance to meet some new faces I haven't met like @DaveAu , @btb , @kevxtx.
As well as catch up with @AusPete, @scrub runner, @690arrr, @hyperpete and @Sideshow

Probably start down around Andy's area and head up through scrubby's back yard.
Obviously realise not everyone is going to make it, just thought I would throw it out there.
Depending on when my first swim is I might head down to brissy on the 10th. Someone might want to meet up at 2 head town and escort me down to the big smoke???

Well just a second call out for the ride on sunday the 14th. @AusPete and myself will be meeting at fernvale and heading northish direction. As long as I slowly track north to get back to Bundy before night fall. Join in for any part of the ride and track home whenever you want to.
Scrubby has sent his apologies and won't be able to make it. All welcome, ktm or not.
Pm me or Auspete and we can give a start time and exact meeting place. (Don't want to give the filth to much info)
So if you have nothing to do and feel like a ride come along @btb , @DaveAu , @kevxtx , @690arrr , @Sideshow and anyone else I may have missed.

Are you wearing your lead lined jeans, or are you wrapping your goolies in Alfoil? Maybe you are looking for an unintended irradiation of your prostate ... though I guess you can't look, in advance, for something unintended.
