Hi everyone I have a 2020 ktm 250 sx with 61 hours on it I went to the dunes this week and ran probably 3 hours with no issues well I ran out of gas so I mixed a 2 gallons up with a brand new bottle of ktm 2t oil and when I started it everything was fine went and rode for 20 mins then I started to get a nasty white smoke that would puff out after letting the throttle down it smells like burnt 4t oil and kind of has a hint of burnt metal Andy ideas what it could be? I checked coolant and it hasn’t gone down so I don’t think it’s the hg

Check transmission fluid level. If your crank seal is leaking it can allow trans fluid to be pulled into crankcase and burned. A few drops of transmission will create huge clouds of smoke. A few drops of coolant leaking into cylinder will also create huge smoke cloud. Good idea to pressure test cooling system first.
