I have had my 890 for 7 weeks. Rode it daily. Low oil pressure light came on pulling in to work. Oil level was good. Took it to a dealer and no oil flow. Drained the oil and found metal. Last I was told a week ago KTM told them to drop the pan and oil pump to find the failure. Haven't heard from them in a week. I am not a youngster popping dank whoolies and ride a 2 lane highway and service road to work both 55-60mph. So it has not been beat up on. I performed my own first service which was documented like I always do. I can honestly say besides some of the early cars I drove I have not experienced an engine failure like this in anything. I have had to pull the cams in my mine now my daughters Honda 2 times to replace the vvt gear in 200000. If its not covered under I warranty fix it myself. So engine repair and maintenance is not an issue. We shall see what KTMs resolution is. Haven't even made my second payment yet.
