I have two 2021 KTM 890 adventure r ‘s
First 2021 KTM 890 adventure r is all stock.
Second 2021 KTM 890 Adventure r is a rally build. When installing the Rottweiler rebel X rally conversion kit I switched the speedometer/dash cluster by accident. By doing this the key and the ECU do not match the dash cluster. When trying to start I received a red code on dash (key error) bike will not start, starter will not engage. I switched the dash cluster back but still reading (key error code) I tried unplugging the battery hoping it would reset no luck. My next idea is to buy an OBD 2 code reader and try to reset key code. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I could be wrong, but I don't think immobilizer is in instrument cluster, so possible the swap might not be what caused this. I believe it has a seperate immobilizer control unit, so maybe you have it disconnected? Look at parts listing for key/lock set replacement. And there is another thread here with Duke owner looking for advice after attempted theft, with pucture of lock set. Try search.
