I just wish i knew if when i remove the non exhaust side passenger pegs do those screws to anything but hold the pegs. I have looked all over the site cant find anything 890R dukes seem to me in the minority here.
Doesn't look like they do anything structural once the passenger pegs are off. On mine, they are screwed into the holes without the passenger pegs.

Front one is a M8x25mm T40, Rear one is a M8x40mm T40, pretty sure those are same bolts that hold the passenger pegs and you just put them back in the holes.

There are shorter bolts to use when you take off the grab rail.

OK I will admit im super OCD I was worried they actually did something structural and I haven't even thought about the grab rail. Time to do some looking at this I waited so long for these parts I should have been studying how to install them.

This is what came with my 2021 890. I’m not sure what all the misc. stuff in the bag is for but the 4 - bolts are for the grab bar removal.
I just took the passenger side bracket off and it doesnt seem at all to be structural, probably welded inserts into the frame. I would find some small torx bolts and thread into them so nothing gets into it just to match the rest of the bike. I’m OCD too.
I’m leaving my pegs on just for a little extra protection.

I agree the rear pegs would provide some protection but don't think they will go with the Akrapovic pipe however

KTM does not have any paper manuals or paper service books anymore.
It's all digital.
You can also check the service history, possible recalls and all that directly from KTM.com website.
You can download the owner manual from there as well.

I personally think that's smart since now I have it on my phone if I ever need it.
I wouldn't carry the booklet around so this is better.

The R should come with the rear seat, rear seat replacement covl, tool bag, extra bolts for removing the rear grab handle and rear foot pegs and a bracket that you use to mount the exhaust without the rear foot peg hanger.

As for parts awailability, when I bought mine everything was on back order.
Looked on line and found few bigger KTM dealerships in Germany that showed parts awailability "in stock"
Quick e-mail to confirm this and placed an order.
Comfort seat, KTM screen and few other bits arrived 3 days later.
Tried to buy Evotech crash protection as well.
Could not find it "in stock" anywhere so bought the Bagoros Performance version, which looks very similar to the Evotech product.

BSO makes the best looking functional license plate holder with led lights.
So bought that as well.

I’m not real keen on the KTM factory bolts. When I removed the grab rail I replaced the bolts with stainless steel torx bolts with low cap heads.
I think I will do the same I hurt my back so still haven't put my parts on but I am about ready to start much to learn I am sure but this thread his been super helpful

Do you have the replacement bolt dimensions? I know they have to at least be shorter without the rail there.
No I don't sure wish I did was going to read through this thread and see if it is mentioned anyplace I need to bolts for the left side non-muffler side for the passenger pegs and the grab rail. I actually today was going to go through this thread so much helpful information. I still haven't put on the akra or any of the evo stuff yet hurt my back so not ideal to be squatting and working type of thing.

I’ve just been through this exercise in the last couple of days. My bike (2018 790) came with the pillion seat cover, pillion pegs removed and a Ventura rack in place of the passenger handle. The KTM screws for handle (or not) were the only original parts missing.

Here are the parts from the sparepartsfinder:

No pillion handle bar
Chassis > Subframe
#25 0035080356S SCREW M8X35 ISA45 SS x4
(For these I got the slimmer, more attractive button head socket cap screws, and installed them using less torque)

Pillion Handle Bar
Chassis > Tank, Seat
#24 0035080506S AH-COLLAR SCREW M8X50 ISA45 x4
(Socket head cap screws)

Pillion Footpegs Rear screws
Chassis > Subframe
#9 0025080406S Collar screw M8x40 ISA40 SS x2

Pillion Footpegs Front screws
#10 0025080256S HH COLLAR SCREW M8X25 TX40 x2

I have the same bike and bought a few items through R&G. Fender eliminator and radiator guard most recently.. They have good customer service and ship quickly.

Originally the radiator guard I bought was more for the 790 and didn't fit. They engineered another version for the 890 in a little more than a month, sent it to me at no charge and told me to keep the old one. Only odd part is that the top doesn't have anything to screw into and the top is secured with zip ties. Hasn't been an issue though and they even sent orange ones that matched the bike.

For tank protection I've been using tech-spec for years. They have a kit and also sell sheets of the material. I cut out a couple extra shapes to extend the coverage a but farther forward and also cover the black guards (right side covers the reservoir). That stuff lasts for years. I've had it on my buell for maybe 8 years now and have pulled it off a couple times to paint my bike and then reused it.
Looks like a good product can you say how easy to install and un-install. I was actually hoping for something clear like a clear bra for a car but I have a feeling I would screw it up royally.

OK thanks to you all I kept trying KTM and finally got an answer that it was possible they sent out bikes during the crazy pandemic missing some things. Yes I should have got the bolts for the passenger peg removal and a tool kit your all right !! Christan at American KTM called the dealer hopefully before I am to old to ride I will see the parts. The evidence was just to strong that I just a bad situation with mine iI decided to keep pursuing it.
