Got the KTM Saddlebags. They're smaller than I'd like but considering their fitment to the bike I can't complain. If the front lower corner went out to a point (blocking passenger pegs) I would like the added storage. I think I'll eventually get the KTM Tail Bag for additional storage.

You have one of the more practical SDR's I've seen.
Thanks!

The Madstad windshield is probably the second best following the bags. I want to get the KTM crash cage and make some "highway pegs" for it. Having bought it May 10th with 2,470 miles, now I'm over 3,600, it sees some miles. I ordered new tires (The original tires are still on it) but still waiting for my socket from KatataK. Then when I replenish my "hobby money" I'll order MC Cruise setup. It's definitely a swiss army knife bike for me.

i love the SD GT luggage on a Superduke R idea. I have an idea thought I’d test with the group knowledge. Instead of fabricating measuring welding etc to create a bolt on bracket, could I buy a GT subframe ( about $100) that has the brackets welded in and replace the SD R subframe.? I am assuming the battery box and tail lights would fit right in?
I love my 2014 SDR but I don’t have time for another detailed project like building strong precise brackets. Am I barking up the wrong tree?
I considered this idea with my SDR. I briefly looked into details and found the subframe, tail plastics, and passenger peg mounts at minimum. But I'm not sure if they're directly interchangeable without other modifications.

Is there anyone who knows of luggage that would work with a high mounted exhaust?
Based on your other posts you have a 990 SD. Which I think has about non-existent "direct fit" luggage options. A tail bag and tank bag are probably about the best options. Universal soft bags might work but I'm not familiar with the subframe/exhaust on those to know for sure.

I have the PowerParts bags but I was highly considering the SW Urban instead. The only reason I decided on the PowerParts was shipping was faster. Mounting hardware is minimal and not terrible on the eyes with the bags off. I just wish they were waterproof. And the latch is a little stubborn to remove them at times. 95% of the time the bags stay on my bike so it's not a big deal.

Only picture I have handy with the bags off to show the mounting hardware. Also, that trash can looks familiar @_Will_ LOL
