Nice work, 2. I love home brew. Those bags have to hold nearly as much as the factory GT bags.
Thanks - it wasn’t easy but I now realize in how important it is to have storage for me. you don’t know what you don’t know!

The side cases are only 22L each and the top case is 33L. Being waterproof and lockable is an added bonus. I now have room for my puncture repair kit, extra layers, gloves and it’s been super convenient taking the bike for beer or groceries runs. Certainly beats the 13L tail pack I had....once you have storage, there is no going back....

tell us about the electric bike…what is it like?
Well it is great fun, you got instant torque of 215Nm and 140HP, that combined is really really fun. The top-speed is limited to 200 and the distance you can travel is max 120km and not the figures that the manufacturer is showing ;) . I put the bike really to its limits, if you would drive it like a granny you could easily get 250km distance or even more out of it but that is not why I bought the bike for, I'm also not interested in charging on the road and stand there for at least 30 to 45 minutes. I charge the bike at home, take it out for kicks and fun and put it back in the garage and take one of my petrol bikes to travel further distances :) . For me the electric bike is a toy and I surely never would bought it if I could only afford one bike.

Hi guys, been reading the thread and was great to see all the different options.
I have a 2014 SDR, which I got for quick blasts and general hooliganism. Turns out that the SDR is so much more capable and touring on it makes a lot of sense.
So, I impulse bought the KTM panniers for it….on their way….but I do have a question - the bike came with the OEM tail tidy….will the panniers fit without having to adjust/replace or otherwise mess about with the indicators?

I have a gen 2 with the R&G tail tidy and it fits.

So, I mounted my Hepco and Becker top box to my Sport Rack. But I also need to be able to carry a smaller tail bag when I don't need the box.

I got myself a H+B lockit rear bag. An adapter fits on the sport rack, and bag locks to it. It fits the rack perfectly...(Edit - you can see the top box on the shelf..)

The bag is very well designed and beautifully made.

It has all kinds of nooks and crannies, and also an integrated rain cover that zips out of a recess in the front of the bag.

The concept is explained in the H and B video here:

Why don't you just strap a bag to the rear seat? I hear you ask..

We have single seat registration here, which saves you quite a bit of money. You have to remove the passenger pegs and the rear seat. If the cops want to be bastards (quite often...) they will fine you if the bike still has its rear seat...even if there is a bag on it...

I have had tank bags on all my bikes...one thing I have noticed with the R is that I am stopping for petrol more frequently....the tank bag is a bit inconvenient. If I was on a trip, I would still use it with the rear bag or box.

I wasn’t happy with things sliding around in my top case so I ordered one of these liners - they make them for almost anything which surprised me. I have a Shad SH33 and I only ordered the lower liner
