Hey guys! Just back from a journey to Nova Scotia from Philly. Bike was a champ and many satisfying hooligan miles following my Butler maps!

Only issue - I get random warning hallucinations (eg key not present). Oh well.

Oh and I knew nothing about the Cabot Trail - purportedly one of the best roads in NA. Verified! Twisties + continual shots of ocean were amazing. Right up there with Deals Gap area for me. Highly recommended!

I have a 2022 SDR EVO , and randomly it throws out the same “key not present “ message as well. Which I would just ignore.

This was fine except one day after filling the tank with gas, I placed the fob in my sport jacket front pocket. Then continued my ride down some twisties. Of course I got the “ key not present “ and I just ignored and kept riding.

I got home and turned off bike in driveway to get off and open garage. It would not start. I went to my pocket and it was unzipped, so I lost it somewhere on that ride. Luckily I was home so I had the basic non energized key that you place over the reader.

You can get programmed keys , but not cut programmed keys which are done in mattigoghem. Took me three months to get key and I still have to go to dealer to now program the fob. $272 later.

Lesson learned. I’m putting the passive key hidden on my bike. If this had happened somewhere in the middle of eastbound **** nowhere, it would not have been good.

Oh, man, that scenery looks nice... I lived for decades on the beach in Coronado, but I've spent the last decade in the boondocks, aye? Not complaining, since I have primo mountain ranges & heller trail riding minutes from my door, and the beaches in South San Diego County are polluted and closed half the time anyway, due to sewage from San Diego & Tijuana. Nice to see what look like unspoiled beaches there in Nova Scotia... must have been an enjoyable trip. I would've factored in a sailboat rental somewhere along the line, lol. Thanks for the pics, looks like an awesome stretch of coastline! (y)
