I was wondering if anyone has used BT-Moto for the ECM re-flash stage 1+ tuning with handheld ?
Any feedback would be fantastic.

Keep us updated on how everything goes. I will be doing my 620 mile service next week, so I will be ready to move forward with the purchase.I'll be receiving my BT-moto tuner today. I'm eager to get a flash that makes the bike more enjoyable to ride, especially in the slow speed throttle-control area. I really enjoy my 23 SDGT, but have always been disappointed in its snappy, abrupt, jerky ... low speed manners.
Very nice, sounds like everything went as planned ? Let us know how long it takes to get the tune back from BT, and of course how the tune works after install.I read my stock configuration file and uploaded it to the server. Now I await my custom tune!
It was no problem. I watched the videos on their site and repeated everything without any issues.

Fantastic to hear it was all and maybe more than you wanted. Getting my 1st service done on Wednesday and will be getting in touch with BT-Moto....I took it out for a short test ride.
I can only say that it feels like a different bike now.
The engine braking is much less, the power delivery is much smoother throughout the rev range, especially noticeable in 2nd and 3rd when the front end wants to point skyward under acceleration.
Riding slowly is much more refined without the bucking and jerking. Overall, it's much more pleasurable to ride.
The difference from stock is quite dramatic.
My goal was to make the bike more enjoyable to ride, particularly to smooth out the throttle response.
It was achieved beyond my expectations.
I wasn't looking for squeezing out as much power as possible, although it does feel much better by my butt, so I won't be doing any dyno runs.
I can't recommend BTM enough. They were always responsive to my inquiries and turned around my tuned file over-night.Fantastic to hear it was all and maybe more than you wanted. Getting my 1st service done on Wednesday and will be getting in touch with BT-Moto....
Thanks for the updates cskindt... Glad you jump in on this !!!
Could not agree more on the government intervention... Check you MPG and see if that get better or worse.I can't recommend BTM enough. They were always responsive to my inquiries and turned around my tuned file over-night.
I've had many bikes through my riding decades and never flashed or felt the need to flash a bike as much as I did with my SDGT.
It's a real shame that OEMs' priorities must be on government-regulated emissions and not riding enjoyment for the consumer.
Good luck! Enjoy your bike and your future new tune!
Hopefully, I'll get some quality riding time in this weekend.Could not agree more on the government intervention... Check you MPG and see if that get better or worse.
I know when I did the Dyno Jet Powervision 2 and the Target Tune on my Harley everything got extremely better. Power delivery a big bump and mileage was 23% better than the stock ECM tune. So just curious how that will play out.
By the way where are you located ?
Well if you ever get a wild hair, I am in Northern California...Hopefully, I'll get some quality riding time in this weekend.
I live near Shenandoah, IA.
You never know!Well if you ever get a wild hair, I am in Northern California...
Curious to see how you are liking the BT-Moto ECM Flash ?I flashed my 1390 with BTMOTO. Super fast shipping and great customer service. Uploaded my stock map and got my flashed map back in 3 hours or less. Their instructions are extremely detailed and basically dummy proof! Highly recommend BTMOTO.
Just wondering how everything is going now that you have had some time to ride ?I took it out for a short test ride.

All I can say is that had I known how much better the bike would be, I'd have never bought the RB EVO and just flashed it with BTM's tune immediately.Curious to see how you are liking the BT-Moto ECM Flash ?
This just makes me want it more, thanks for the feedback. Keep it coming..All I can say is that had I known how much better the bike would be, I'd have never bought the RB EVO and just flashed it with BTM's tune immediately.
Second and third gear now have all 100% throttle range available (BT said they're limited to 65% stock). That's very exciting, especially with my 16/40 sprockets. The bike runs much smoother, especially in all low-speed conditions. There is no more jerking while cruising slowly or while entering and exiting turns. Even with the throttle response on sport, I can smoothly control the bike at slow speeds. Before the tune, the engine would garble unhappily and oppose the throttle inputs causing a choppy and uncomfortable ride.
The engine now pulls hard all the way through, up to 11k (I don't track, but I thought it be fun to have them open the RPM another 1k).
I can't comment on fuel economy yet. I rode out and back a total of 260 miles last weekend, but there was a strong tail-wind going out. My mileage was much less coming back in the head-wind. I also haven't stopped laying off second and third when I have an open road in front of me. It's addictive power-wheelieing in third gear!
In summary, the bike I have now is the bike I thought I was buying. It kind of sucks that the engine is managed by the OEM in such a way that dramatically decreases the enjoyment of the product, just to satisfy emission regulations.
