Hey guys I’m running an 890 duke with track pack and cruise control set up from factory. Recently I started having issues with my cruise control working intermittently, light comes on but won’t turn green and work sometimes, light won’t turn on at all other times and some times it works great. I did cha he out my front and rear sprockets but I went back to the stock front but still running a larger 46t rear. Took it to the local KTM shop they had it for a week with no answers they said KTM said it might be from a different rear sprocket so I swapped back to a stock rear and same issues so I Juan’s to take it back but wanted to see if anyone else is having this issue.

Thanks for any info

Hi, I had same issue with cc on my 2021 890 Duke with same fault description you have. It turned out to be a bad front brake switch, I believe its part number is 63711051000.

One way to test it is to compare the brake light activation when using the rear brake to the front brake. The brake light did not always turn on distinctly, but instead like a dimmer when using the front brake lever, but was very distinct when using the rear brake.

I have the same issue with cruise control. My 890R Duke is now one year old and has 5200 km on the clock. From day one the c c worked intermittently. Some times it does not even come on. Lately it will activate and display orange on the screen but does not activate (go green). I have an appointment with the dealer for next week but as from yesterday the c c is working again. This is very problematic as the dealer says it must be non-operational for him to check it out.....

Same here with my 2022 890 Duke. Cruise functionality was sketchy since taking delivery. Now with 7,000 miles it exhibited the "will not set" issue many others have experienced. Previously it was intermittent but now nothing. I replaced both brake sensors/switches with OEM switches and problem resolved. I bought two of the Tusk switches but they are a different size (i.e., longer) so I didn't try to use them. Several others stated they tried the Tusk switches but they did not work.
PRO TIP: You DO NOT have to fully remove the tank to access the sensors. Remove the two bolts securing it to the frame and you have plenty of room to lift the rear of the tank up a bit and rotate to the left to gain access. Bad things happen when you disconnect electrical connections and fuel lines.
