@Prospected, I'm diggin' those pictures in the corners. Great lean angle and good photography!

There's just one thing I noticed which I was guilty of too in the past, is the outside foot. I used to have the ball of my feet on both pegs much like you and it never gave me much confidence. Apparently what should be done, is that you dig your heel into the peg on your outside foot. When I went to do a 3 day trackday programme in 2013 it was Troy Corser himself who told me as much. For hard braking, you dig both heels into the pegs for maximum control.

Ignore the circle, I just grabbed this pic off the interwebz real quick. Check their left feet. I'm hoping that practicing this will give you even better control over the GT.

There might be some science to it - the more contact with your bike the better you can impose muscle strength and handling, but it might just be preference too. Who knows.

Sadly, I don't have any of these stunning landscape pictures. But I do have this...

Last week it was my girlfriends' birthday, and although I had already given her my present, the real gift I had for her was that I proposed to her that evening.

She said yes!

And the next day, I find this

I have a feeling she meant it when she said yes 😋

Repurposed SW-Motech Tail Bag Pro from my previous bike. I can say it works great on SDR. It connects nicely to the passenger seat with no visible straps.

What's the brand of that tank grip? Looks solid, I like it.

I am a big fan of tailbags. They might not look all that awesome but they are very, very useful. I have the Powerparts one and I'll never part with it.

Went for a nice ride yesterday over McClure Pass in Western Colorado. This photo is coming back to the pass from Carbondale. Crystal River was beautiful, but I didn't see a spot where I could pull off and take a photo, still lots of snow pushed to the edges of the highway. There's plenty of snowmelt across the road and rising avalanche risk on McClure Pass.

240 mile jaunt across GA and NC, lunch in Highlands NC at Highlands Burrito; good food but be careful of the sauces; the medium had me reaching for the sour cream and we were offered to try some of the really hot stuff they kept in back but declined to avoid hospitalization. Also be careful of the pavement, my SDR had an extra tilt when we came out.

My buddy with the BMW hadn’t ridden the SDR yet, so when I told him it likes a kiss I’d clutch on the up shifts and hopped on his bike he took the hint and took up the chance to ride it. It took one 3rd gear roll on and he was asking me questions about it and the GT model and our planned swap back point got moved forward for some more seat time; he finally said he’d better give it back to me. He kept asking questions about the GT, he’s got a Concourse C14 for a touring bike but wants something lighter and more fun. One big plus to letting your buddy ride your SDR, you get to hear that exhaust note from a new angle.

So - funny story: This is a new-to-me 2016 Super Duke GT I picked up at an estate auction not far from me. Being a one-track mind, I completely forgot to look at the estate auction to see if there were accessories for it. It did NOT come with the hardbags, among other things. So weeks pass...maybe a month+ now...and I am shopping for hard bags. I scan eBay and see there is a set of bags that are for an exceptional price ($250 for the set), but they are missing a key. I look closer and see the seller is located in my town.

No....they couldnt be...

So I purchase them, tell the guy I will come pick them up since im local. I bring my key just for fun.

Sure as heck....its the set originally for this bike. "Reunited and it feeeeellsss soo gooooood" lol

But here is the REAL kicker...and I will kick my own arse for it...he bought them at the auction for.......

$7 ....Yep. $7 USD for the SET! Aye...
