@Prospected, I'm diggin' those pictures in the corners. Great lean angle and good photography!

There's just one thing I noticed which I was guilty of too in the past, is the outside foot. I used to have the ball of my feet on both pegs much like you and it never gave me much confidence. Apparently what should be done, is that you dig your heel into the peg on your outside foot. When I went to do a 3 day trackday programme in 2013 it was Troy Corser himself who told me as much. For hard braking, you dig both heels into the pegs for maximum control.

Ignore the circle, I just grabbed this pic off the interwebz real quick. Check their left feet. I'm hoping that practicing this will give you even better control over the GT.

There might be some science to it - the more contact with your bike the better you can impose muscle strength and handling, but it might just be preference too. Who knows.

Finally installed the Evo Tech tail tidy I've had sitting in a box since last Fall. It took me 6 months to get the OEM KTM LED turn signals from England. The stock turn signals in the US are too wide and would interfere with the factory panniers. These KTM ones look really nice and were totally plug and play with the wiring.

The OEM rear turn signals clear the panniers fine on my '23 SDGT. The problem is with the Evotech taiI tidy--I used one on my '20 Kawasaki 1000SX and experienced the same problem that you had, the OEM turn signals scraped on the back of the panniers. It looks like Kawasaki (and maybe KTM too) uses the EU bike models to design from and doesn't realize how the small difference in size between the US and EU OEM turn signals caused a misfit with their tail tidy in the US (even though their website states that it works with all OEM equipment), so I had to change them out to the OEM EU type LED ones like you did on your KTM (PITA). I did, however, find these to convert them to LED lamps only on the KTM--much easier than dismantling the tail section to change out the signals and much brighter than the US OEM ones.!

Simple 10 minute install with a Phillips screwdriver.

Last night, I fitted the new front tire, new front brake pads (Vesrah RJL XX), and the EvoTech frame sliders.

EvoTech instructions absolutely suck - if you can even find them. But, the parts themselves fit perfectly and seem to be very high quality.

We do have very clean crisp air here Hammer. My 959S Multistrada need 5 valves re shimming at 30,000kms, the mechanic said the air box had a lot of dust and grit in it (i do lots of gravel rides on it) We fitted a better K&N filter, the air box on the 1290 was spotless, not a spec of dust. Must make a big diff.

After three different 1290 and one 1290RR it was now the time to try the new 1390R. Wonderful bike that has much better quality on fitment and overall finnish. The engine itself is much more of a superbike engine with the punch high up in the RPMs. The punchy low and mid range torque of the gen 1 and 2 is not present at this incarnation ot the LC8 engine. Pictures attached of the new purshase.

Nice! That pizza looks good! I've ridden right past that place a couple of hundred times and never noticed it. Richard Russell to 197 to Warwoman Rd is one of my crew's go-to routes.

I'm going to have to check it out the next time I'm over there!

My muffler's had a little whoopsie. The baffle fell out, totally by accident I might add, and now the Duke has a even more proper bark.

In terms of riding experience I think the exhaust system is the single most entertaining mod you can do. A good sounding bike is sooooooo satisfying.
