Hi

Ive a 2012 UK RC8R and Ive removed the O2s and SAS and fitted a GPR system. I have uploaded the 334 map. Do you think this would be a better match than the 331?

My bike isnt from the US so i ruled that out straight off.

I thought the silencer set may be referring to an original evo which is probably closer to my exhaust than the evo4?

I think so as well^^^^

FWIW, Ive loaded the Akra map in my 2010 model, but didn't have the silencer only option.
 
Ive had a rethink and the silencer set is probably referring to the the twin Akra system. Bike seems to be running ok but i may swap to the evo 4 map to see if i notice any difference.
 
The Bonehead map is for a 09. This map brings a fault to 08 ecu becuz of the rerouted temp gauge.
But it's perfect useable if U ignore the fault everyday on ur dashboard off course.
Had plenty of discussion with Simon on this. But he has got a 09 so he can't check that fault.
 
Bought the Android version yesterday. Connected without any fuzz with my one+1 Chinese cheapphone. Only the reading & uploading bitrate is a bit slow imo. Anybody any idea how to raise the ECU-datastream on Android. I connect via cable not via bluetooth.

It might be the chipset on your phone.
I connect with my Sony Xperia z3 and can upload a map in about 10 seconds. Downloading takes about 25 seconds.

I get about the same performance on my Asus tablet.
 
Does anyone know of a map for my '09 rc8r with Rottweiler and opened up muffler?
Baffles and I think cats were removed by previous owner and I've just added a used Rottweiler setup.
Still has o2 sensors. Sas deleted.

Currently has an Akro map but not sure if it's safe?

I have some question regarding Maps from Tune ECU site. I have a RC8R 2011 (EU model) I have installed a Akrapovic EVO (not EVO4) system on it. Se picture of the Akra system I have. This EVO sytem, or EVO1 as some people call it, is very similar to the EVO4 but this has little smaller header and slightly different routing of the header.

1. I do not know exactly the different on EVO1 and EVO4, maybe someone else here can tell me the difference and why they have made two very similar exhaust?

2. My second question is; can I use the KM693EU11B0331Map.hex (KTM 1190 RC8 R 2011-12 model year with Akrapovic EVO4)? Since no map is available for my EVO1?

3. What does the Maps form Tune ECU site due to my bike. Does it only change the ratio of fuel and air or does it change ignition timing?

4. Can you use Maps that is made for 2009 models on my 2011 model? Or is this bad since the 2011 models has the new engine with Twin Spark Plugs?

4. No you can't use the earlier maps.
 
Thanks Sideshow. Since I am curious, what is it that you can not use Maps from 2009 models on a 2011? What will happen? Will you destroy engine/valves or will the bike just run badly? If I remember right I think I know some one that have done this and if that is bad I would like to know way so I can tell him to remap his bike.
 
Looking for the best map suggestion for a 2014 RC8R with just a Jester exhaust, I have tried the ECU reset (i/e letting idle for 15min and shutting off) but doesnt seem to help.

Eventually I'm going to put lots Rottweiler parts on (intake, 02 and SAS delete, etc) and at that point I'll get it dynoed tuned - but at the moment she is running VERY lean!

Use the Akro map from the TuneECU site.

What is the different between these two maps?:

1. KM693EU11B0331Map.hex (KTM 1190 RC8 R 2011-12 model year with Akrapovic EVO4)
2. KM693EU11B0334Map.hex (KTM 1190 RC8 R 2011-12 model year with Silencer set Akrapovic)

What does "silencer set" akrapovic mean?
Pretty straightforward really.
Different exhausts (silencer set).
Differences would be in fuelling and ignition maps. Load them up onto your computer and compare.

Okay, stupid me. I google "silencer set akrapovic" and now I see the big different i exhausts. Sorry for that, I just did not understand that that was actually the name of the exhaust.

Okay, I was a bit hesitant as the TuneECU site says that it's only for 2011-2012 years. Will this still be okay for a 2014? Also, I've removed the baffle from the Jester, so I technically do not have a silencer.

Yes it's for the twin spark. I have my baffle out too

Okay thank you. Did you turn off the SAS and the O2 sensors as well? If not, would anyone else recommend this? I'm going to be doing a full SAS delete and putting in O2 sensor dongle plugs eventually when I do the full intake - but wondering if I can just uncheck these boxes for now.
