North Georgia fun with a friend; breakfast in Dahlonega and lunch on Lake Burton. Nice like stretch of road to put a pizza place.

Nice! That pizza looks good! I've ridden right past that place a couple of hundred times and never noticed it. Richard Russell to 197 to Warwoman Rd is one of my crew's go-to routes.

I'm going to have to check it out the next time I'm over there!

197 used to be one of our go to roads, but after the heavy application of tar snakes a few years back it fell out of favor a bit. They seem to have settled down some now and the Conti I was running don’t mind them as much so it’ll be back on the menu. Warwoman to 28 up into Highlands has always been one of my favorites, travelled it for many years.

Richard Russel is fun sweepers but like Blood Mountain has attracted those with more enthusiasm than skill or courtesy. This ride I came up on a GSXR rider who despite being notably slow managed to ride into the next lane over at cross corner on Blood going uphill; gave him plenty of space to avoid being part of whatever he did wrong. I’ve seen entire pull offs filled to the brim with car clubs on Richard Russel, and they’re magnets for law enforcement presence.

My muffler's had a little whoopsie. The baffle fell out, totally by accident I might add, and now the Duke has a even more proper bark.

In terms of riding experience I think the exhaust system is the single most entertaining mod you can do. A good sounding bike is sooooooo satisfying.
