Got these tires from K3 off-road. Gonna try single tracking next week. I'm in the process of installationing the tubeliss system on the front and rear. I've never ridden on studs before. Any suggestions?

Nobody is more low tech than me and I learned to own and operate a helmet camera (very poorly) last year. I'm not very proficient but I am very persistent. Keep at it and you will get better with practice. Be sure to post here on the ride report when possible. Be sure to use under visor or chin bar mount helmet mount and not helmet top mount if you ride in the woods. I use under visor mount and still smash branches with camera.

You guys are my hero's. Be sure to get helmet camera video and post up here for me to watch. I have some VHS video of my ice racing from the early 1990s and late 1980s. Videos are so old now they are cloudy from age(so am i) I'm done with freezing my nuts off and 100mph wind chill. Leave that for you younger fellows. I enjoy your shared stories and pictures. Keep them coming

Only a quick one but just some trail riding by my house in 4+ feet of packed snow. You have to keep moving with weight off the front wheel like @WilKen said or the rear wheel just digs a massive hole.

Sorry for the delayed response. I only got out about 6 times. Riding in 6+ inches of snow was a little dicey, but fun. Get the weight off the front tire a gas it! I also had the chance to ride in about 2inches with an icy base. That was where the K3 tires(with tubliss system) really did well. It was a different kind of riding. The group was incredible. I'm really happy with the K3 Off-road tire and the are cheaper than most on the market today.

I've been riding around on my studs for last couple weeks and it's an absolute blast! Not good in deep snow but the crusty stuff after it's melted and froze again is great. Neighbours must think I'm nuts putting on my winter gear to go tearing around the block but when there's a bit of ice on the ground it makes 2nd gear drifts through the streets seem like a video game.

Trelleborg carbide studs were the hot stuff for frozen ground and ice. The kold kutters were good for ice racing on frozen lakes. The Carlisle or Kenda tires worked good for ice racing. I have a set of 40 year old ice tires in my basement awaiting my old dirt tracker restoration. Not a good idea to run any studded tires on pavement either way. It's hard on the tires and slicker than greased weasel $hit
